Director, Public Infrastructure
Chris is a Director, Public Infrastructure with more than 29 years of broad civil engineering experience in independent design and project management. His duties include oversight and direction of engineering design, being a resource to project managers, management of information technology, and directing public marketing efforts of the civil engineering and surveying staff. Along with his team of engineers and technicians, he handles many of the large public works projects.
Those areas of his particular expertise include public works improvement projects; facilities and master planning; water and wastewater distribution and collection; storm drainage facilities; parks and recreation design; streetscape design and construction; and hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of watersheds for stormwater management and improvement. He is also experienced with the preparation of state and federal funding applications for local communities as well as assisting local communities in compliance with funding requirements and administration of funds. His construction management experience includes engineering report writing, interpretation of plans and specifications, development of quantity and cost estimates, preparation of construction bid documents, contract administration, and site inspection.
Chris started his career as a civil engineer in El Paso, Texas, where he focused on municipal infrastructure design. That experience has carried over to his local public clients, including Dallas Water Utilities, City of Dallas Public Works and Transportation, Dallas Parks & Recreation Department, City of Grapevine, and the North Texas Municipal Water District.
