Love Field Airport Modernization Program

Dallas Love Field airport began as a camp to train prospective pilots after the U.S. entered into World War I. Since then it has become an icon of Dallas, carrying on average more than 42,000 passengers daily. Pacheco Koch was selected to provide civil design services to the Love Field Modernization Program (LFMP) which included an approximately 750,000-square-foot terminal and 20 narrow-body gates for three carriers, designing over 10,000 linear feet of underground drainage, and replacing over 70 acres of concrete apron and associated drainage systems. The $500-million project, which sits upon 65 acres at the airport, also had Pacheco Koch associated with other LFMP projects such as the East Satellite Building renovation, the General Use Building, the Outbound Baggage Facility, and the Terminal Topographic Survey.
