For years a city hall was the center of any town and while it may not always be in the center today, it still plays an important role in establishing a town’s character. For the City of Melissa, complimenting that character with civic space to serve as the stage for everyday life was equally important. The 3.4-acre space includes both active and passive functional spaces including a veterans memorial anchoring each end. The central ellipse serves as a concert and festival space, with the outer ring being used as access for a community Farmer’s Market. With something for every member, including a splash fountain to cool down town’s children during the Texas summers, the Melissa City Hall will continue to grow and prosper.
